Robert Miles

Robert Miles (1969–2017) was a Swiss-Italian producer, composer, musician and DJ best known for his 1995 instrumental hit “Children,” which became a defining track of the eurodance and trance scenes. Born Roberto Concina in Fleurier, Switzerland, he began experimenting with electronic music in his teens and released his debut album Dreamland in 1996, which topped charts across Europe. Subsequent releases such as 23am (1997) and Organik (2001) showcased his evolving style, blending atmospheric soundscapes with downtempo and ambient influences. Miles continued to produce and perform until his death in Ibiza in 2017, leaving a legacy as one of the most recognizable figures in 1990s electronic music.
