Lebo M. (born Lebohang Morake, 20 May 1964) is a South African producer, composer, and vocalist best known for his vocal and choral contributions to the soundtrack of Disney’s The Lion King. Born in Johannesburg, he began performing in local choirs and later worked in the United States before returning to South Africa to collaborate on major film and stage projects. His distinctive voice and arrangements helped define the African musical elements of The Lion King stage musical and its film adaptations, earning him international recognition. He continues to compose and produce music that blends traditional South African choral styles with contemporary production.
