Cedric Myton is a Jamaican reggae singer and musician best known as a founding member of the vocal trio The Congos. Born in Saint Catherine, Jamaica in 1947, he began his career in the 1970s and gained prominence with the group's landmark 1977 album Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry. Myton's distinctive falsetto harmonies helped define the roots reggae sound of the era. He has continued to perform and record both with The Congos and as a solo artist, maintaining a presence in the reggae scene for over four decades.
