Antonio Carmona (born 21 May 1965) is a Spanish singer-songwriter and guitarist best known as the founder and lead vocalist of the influential flamenco-pop group Ketama. Born into a family of flamenco musicians in Madrid, he grew up immersed in the genre and began performing professionally in the early 1980s. With Ketama, Carmona helped pioneer a fusion of traditional flamenco with pop, rock, and Latin rhythms, releasing a series of successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s. After the band’s initial run, he pursued a solo career, issuing several critically regarded albums that further blended flamenco roots with contemporary sounds while maintaining his distinctive vocal style.
