Bio

Technotronic was a Belgian electronic music project formed in 1988 in Aalst, Belgium. The group became internationally known for its pioneering hip house sound, blending house beats with rap vocals. Their debut single "Pump Up the Jam" (1989) featuring rapper Ya Kid K became a worldwide hit, reaching the top 10 in multiple countries and helping to popularize the eurodance genre. The accompanying album of the same name achieved multi-platinum status. The project continued releasing music through the 1990s with moderate success, including hits like "Get Up! (Before the Night Is Over)" and "Move This." Technotronic's influence on dance music remained significant even after the project became inactive around 2000.
