Bio
Rockwell (born Kennedy William Gordy, March 15, 1964) is an American R&B singer-songwriter from Detroit, Michigan. He is best known for his 1983 hit single "Somebody's Watching Me," which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 and featured backing vocals by Michael Jackson and Jermaine Jackson. The son of Motown founder Berry Gordy, Rockwell signed with the label in the early 1980s and released three studio albums between 1984 and 1986. His music combined synth-driven R&B with pop sensibilities, and he achieved additional chart success with tracks such as "Obscene Phone Caller" and "He's a Cobra."
